Bocce Australia is thrilled to announce that Daniel and Nicole Samsa will represent the nation at the prestigious World Games in Chengdu, China this August. Following their stellar performance at last year’s Senior Mixed Games, the dynamic duo has once again proven they are among Australia’s finest in the sport.

Joining them on this international journey is Corentin ‘Coco’ Julien, who has spent the past six months working closely with Australian Head Coach Stefano Chiandotto. Coco’s dedication and deep understanding of the game have earned him a vital role on the team as both a mentor and support for Daniel and Nicole as they prepare for high-level competition.

Coco is thrilled and honoured to make his debut as the Australian coach, thanks to the opportunity provided by Bocce Australia and the Australian coaching team. He is excited to lead the team to success and is looking forward to the coaching experience ahead.

The team will compete in the Rapid Relay and Progressive categories, two fast-paced and physically demanding bocce disciplines that showcase not only skill but also endurance and precision. This marks an exciting opportunity for Australia to demonstrate its strength and competitiveness on the global bocce stage.

Sending a team to Chengdu is not just an achievement, it’s a celebration of the hard work, passion, and talent we have here in Australia, and we are incredibly proud of Daniel, Nicole, and Coco. Their commitment to the sport and their unity as a team truly embody the spirit of Australian bocce.

Australia will be watching closely and cheering loudly as our champions take to the court. Good luck to Team Australia as they aim for victory in China!
