Australian Juniors celebrate launch of UCAN2 initiative by Bocce Victoria

Bocce Australia is proud to support Bocce Victoria in launching UCAN2 – an inspiring initiative dedicated to empowering women in sport.

Recently, the excitement was palpable at Il Mercato Centrale as the Bocce community came together to celebrate the beginning of this groundbreaking program in what was a night to remember.

The evening was elevated by a special appearance from our Australian Junior Bocce Squad, who captivated guests with their personal journeys in the sport. Their stories of dedication and triumph underscored the importance of fostering opportunities for women to excel in Bocce and beyond. As outstanding ambassadors for the sport, they continue to inspire the next generation of players.

Bocce Australia Executive and Sports Development Director Sonia Fava took the stage as MC, leading a dynamic panel discussion with Melissa Danelutti, Nicole Samsa, Vanessa Allegretto, and Linda Chiandotto. Through engaging interviews, she amplified the experiences of women in Bocce, fostering a meaningful and memorable discussion that resonated throughout the room.

Delicious food, refreshing drinks, and electrifying beats from leading DJ Mark Pelligrini set the perfect atmosphere for a night filled with inspiration and camaraderie.

This milestone is a testament to the vision and dedication of Laila Favrin and the Bocce Victoria committee, whose relentless efforts have brought the UCAN2 initiative to life. Their commitment to empowering women in sport has created a meaningful platform for growth, opportunity, and inclusion.

With UCAN2, Bocce Australia together with Bocce Victoria proudly reaffirms its commitment to championing women in sport. If she can, UCAN2!
